This fall we asked four of our talented INOA colorists to each color a model for our advertorial in Vogue’s October issue to showcase the color results possible with INOA. To find out what the experience was like for Jason Backe of Ted Gibson Salon, read on:
1. How does it feel to see your color work in Vogue?
Amazing!!! I am so proud of the work I did and so honored to have the opportunity!!! I have a giant scan of the image hanging in my office (right under my disco ball) I love it so much!!!
2. Tell us about your color choice for the model you worked with in the Vogue advertorial. What was your inspiration? What gives the look you created that je ne sais quoi?
I was given the challenge by the team at L’Oréal Professionnel to work with an Asian model and make her haircolor really pop against a black background without straying from her brunette colorI love dimensional brunettes so I was up for the challenge!
3. What do you like most about working with INOA for this advertorial?
INOA is my go to for any big job.  I know that is amazing to shoot because it makes the hair so reflective and soft looking.  I use it on all my celebrity clients for the same reason.
4. Any anecdotes about working with your model or about that color day?
My model had virgin hair and had never colored it before.  It was really awesome to work with someone who was open to doing whatever I thought would make her beautiful.  She was like a muse – it was SO FUN!!!
5. What color trends are you most excited about this season?
I never thought I would say this…. I am living for block hair color techniques.  I have created some that are giving my guests amazing, yet subtle dimension.  It’s all about Autumnal Princess!
6. What’s next after appearing in Vogue?
I’m going to just keep on making the girls feel pretty.
