I've spent my whole life battling limp, lifeless hair: I've truly never known what to do with it. As a girl from Texas, big hair has always been my ideal! For the longest time, I just accepted that it wasn't meant to be for me. I basically gave up and wore it in a short pixie cut, but for the past couple years I've been growing it out and trying anew. In the meantime, I've tried countless products, searching for the one that would give me the volume of my dreams. The search genuinely ended when I discovered L'Oréal Professionnel True Grip!
I LOVE what it does for my hair. For the first time ever, I've got this grippy, buildable texture ~ which means I can finally do things with my hair. I'm able to achieve messy, rock n' roll waves, or big bouncy curls. I can tuck it into a faux bob, or braid it into an ethereal updo. I can tease it up to high heaven, and it stays put! I went from having one styling option to an endless array ~ so now I never leave home without it.
Better yet, making the True Grip video with L'Orèal Professionnel was such a fun experience. We shot on what was probably the coldest day of the year, but our crew was running around and laughing so much I hardly noticed. They really trusted my creative input and vision for the project, which made the whole thing so enjoyable and empowering. I loved getting to include my friend Timo Weiland in the shoot ~ and even Bunny, my papillon puppy, came along for the ride. L'Orèal Professionnel, let's do it again soon!
